Tips on Tipping from Mint.com

The Markit Team has worked with Meeting Planners International for years and many meeting planners who produce events all over the world. These international travellers have seasoned tipping cents (if you will) but not everyone has gratitude graciousness.

Pros and Cons of Embroidery

Embroidery (not your grandma's - the logoed apparel kind :)

To process an embroidery order, artwork (more on artwork later) must be digitized which converts a two-dimensional image into commands that can be read by an embroidery machine's computer.

Here are some red flags to watch for when choosing an embroiderer. (Hint: you don't have to worry about these problems with Markit since we only offer the best logoed apparel). 

Embroidery Red Flags:

• Birdnesting (thread clumps)
• Hoop burns
• Stitch gaps
• Messing backing/support material

Knowing the limitations of embroidery process is key, for instance:

Caps: Lettering should be no larger than 2.3 inches tall for front of a ball cap.

Performance Wear: Waterproofing can be compromised during the logo process so the barrier must be resealed if punctured during embroidery. A protective backing is used so waterproofing isn't undermined.
